Job Description:
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Below are the duties and key responsibilities of the Data Manager (Supply Chain):
- Lead and coach the supply-chain team to plan, implement and monitor health-emergency activities in full compliance with IMC standards and donor requirements.
- Forge strong linkages with the Ministry of Public Health (PPHD and technical divisions) to guarantee seamless project roll-out and alignment with national protocols.
- Break down approved work plans and KPIs into actionable tasks; track milestones and deliver concise progress updates to supervisors.
- Develop and deliver orientation sessions and hands-on training at provincial and facility levels on IMC/MoPH guidelines, including Pay-for-Performance mechanisms.
- Mobilize both financial and operational resources to empower field staff in achieving project targets and performance benchmarks.
- Support performance management by contributing to staff appraisals and presenting technical briefs that build team capacity.
- Collaborate on budget formulation, monitor expenditure flows, and enforce cost-control measures to maximize resource efficiency.
- Review, validate and approve payment requests—ensuring all supporting documentation adheres to IMC’s financial policies.
- Maintain transparent, audit-ready financial records and an organized filing structure.
- Conduct at least three supervisory field visits per month to health facilities to evaluate service quality, identify gaps and provide on-site guidance.
- Systematically track all project activities and maintain up-to-date progress reports for internal reviews and donor submissions.
- Prepare and submit timely, accurate narrative and financial reports to your line manager.
- Oversee health supply-chain data management—utilizing systems such as mSupply—to guarantee data accuracy, integrity and accessibility.
- Represent the project in provincial coordination boards and cluster-level forums, fostering strong partnerships with stakeholders.
- Analyze pharmacy and facility data to inform evidence-based decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Standardize and enforce consistent record-keeping and reporting practices across central and provincial teams.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications: 1.Bachelor’s degree in statistics or related field.
2. Experience in m-supply or managing data in health supply chain would be an added advantage.
Experience: 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Competency:
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
- Experience in data Management, statistics or data analytics in humanitarian context in Afghanistan (EPHS, BPHS,)
- The candidate must have strong command in English, Dari/Pashto Languages.
- Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
