Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring effective budgeting, financial analysis, compliance with financial regulations, and providing leadership for the finance team. The role also includes developing financial strategies, overseeing investment planning, cash flow management, and supporting senior management with financial insights to guide strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning & Analysis:
    • Develop, implement, and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
    • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
    • Provide detailed financial reports to senior management on a regular basis.
  2. Budgeting & Forecasting:
    • Lead the annual budgeting process and work with department heads to develop operational budgets.
    • Analyze and forecast financial performance against budgets and long-term strategies.
  3. Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory financial reporting requirements.
  4. Cash Flow Management:
    • Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
    • Maintain banking relationships and optimize bank account management.
  5. Risk Management & Compliance:
    • Ensure that all financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
    • Manage external audits and ensure timely submission of tax filings and other financial documentation.
  6. Investment Oversight:
    • Oversee investment activities and ensure they are aligned with the company’s financial strategies.
    • Manage relationships with external investors, banks, and financial institutions.
  7. Team Leadership & Development:
    • Manage the finance team, providing leadership, training, and development to ensure high performance.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and set goals for team members.
  8. Strategic Financial Input:
    • Provide strategic recommendations to the senior leadership team based on financial analysis and projections.
    • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., operations, sales) to support financial planning and strategy.
  9. Cost Control:
    • Identify cost-cutting opportunities and efficiency improvements.
    • Review and control overhead expenses.
  10. Procurement & Contracts:
    • Review and approve contracts, agreements, and procurements for financial compliance.
    • Negotiate favorable terms with vendors and suppliers.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • Certifications such as  (CPA) or ACCA are preferred.
  • 5-10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices..
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
