Job Description:
Purpose of the Position:
To coordinate logistics, procurement, and field activities ensuring timely delivery of inputs, training materials, and smooth implementation of greenhouse operationalization across the sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead field-level coordination with local authorities to secure permissions for project activities.
- Oversee delivery and distribution of seeds, fertilizers, equipment, ensuring GRNs are signed and submitted.
- Track movement of goods to all 15 sites ensuring quality and accountability.
- Facilitate logistical arrangements for training events, exhibitions, and market linkage activities.
- Coordinate with trainers to ensure venue readiness and materials availability.
- Maintain field visit plans and document implementation progress through field reports.
- Manage transport and delivery logistics, including vendor coordination for procurement.
- Troubleshoot on-ground issues, ensuring safe and efficient field operations.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding protocols during field activities.
- Maintain effective communication with the project manager, trainers, and admin/finance staff.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Agriculture, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of logistics/field coordination experience in NGO/private sector.
- Experience working in Kandahar and Helmand preferred.
- Ability to liaise effectively with local authorities and communities.
- Excellent report writing and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English; Dari and Pashto proficiency is a strong advantage.
