Job Description:
Job Summary:
WDIO is seeking ambitious and energetic candidates for Quality Control Engineer to oversee the construction of building projects, such as Structure, water supply, sewer, building electric work, wash, and other Construction work. He will manage all quality control & and assurance activities at the site, responsible for the implementation of quality control procedures and plans for providing more efficient on-site construction work. Furthermore, he will supervise and support Field engineers and will provide directions on quality control of building structure, water supply and sanitation, and building electric work.
The QC Engineer will entail seeking and ensuring compliance from AAFCE & USACE onsite testing facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review the project documents (design drawing, specification, approved plans, tools of assigned projects) before departure to the site.
- Review the approved and agree on grading criteria for the infrastructure monitoring
- Review the draft tools provided by the physical monitoring department.
- Pilot and exercise the tools and assigned project in the survey KOBO TOOLBOX application.
- Coordination with the relevant team to provide project documents (drawings, specifications, the scope of work, bill of quantities, ESMP, etc.).
- Make sure to conduct joint monitoring with the relevant team members
- Observed and record the required project documents for each M&E site visit
- Conduct M&E site visits based on the mission plan.
- Follow the mission plan shared by the M&E Manager or top management.
- Observe and record all the on-site project activities in the KOBO TOOLBOX application.
- Communicate all the misunderstandings in the KOBO TOOLBOX form with the relevant monitoring expert before filling and synchronizing the report.
- Observed and recorded the complete details of the project activities, construction elements, and deficiencies such as description, classification, probable causes, possible solution, expected rectification cost, and average rectification cost for the deficiencies.
- Grading the elements based on the approved and agreed grading criteria.
- Make sure to capture the clear and correct photos in the KOBO TOOLBOX form from where required.
- Make sure to record the clear and short audio in the KOBO TOOLBOX form where required.
- Identify and advise the deficiencies observed from the site to the relevant team for the timely rectification of the deficiencies
- Identify weaknesses in data quality in coordination with quality assurance and integrate lessons learned in training materials and approaches.
- Follow the mission plan and all the assigned projects should be reported on the given deadline (mission plan).
- Report and coordinate security issues with the office.
- Support the M&E Officer and Manager by addressing all technical questions.
- Report the critical/severe deficiencies observed on-site in the KOBO TOOLBOX form to the M&E officer and Manager for follow-up and rectification in 24 hours.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
- MSc or BSc in Engineering (Civil Engineering)
- Experience:
- At least Five years of experience in construction projects.
- Knowing reading, interpreting, and implementing the engineering and technical drawings and specifications.
- Very well knowledge of construction quality management, safety, construction codes, etc.
- Understanding and practical knowledge of related laws and other regulations
