Bu Ali Rehabilitation and Aid Network (BARAN) is a nongovernmental, non-political and independent organization. BARAN has been established in 27.7.2006 registered with the Ministry of Economy (MoEc), Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), Ministry of Education (MoE) , Ministry of labour, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled (MoLSAMD), Ministry of Justice (MoJ) in order to deliver standard health care, social and educational services including conducting researches. Special attention is given for the community development by promoting capacity building programs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervise the implementation of all nutrition interventions at health facility and community levels (OTP, TSFP, IYCF, and micronutrient supplementation)
• Ensure the nutrition program follows national guidelines, HER project objectives, and donor requirements.
• Support the integration of nutrition services with health, WASH, and education components under the HER project.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor program quality, provide technical support, and ensure timely service delivery.
• Organize on-the-job training and refresher sessions for health facility and community staff on CMAM, IYCF, and growth monitoring.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback for improvement.
• Review and verify nutrition data from field teams for accuracy and completeness
• Ensure timely submission of weekly, monthly, and quarterly nutrition reports to the Nutrition Officer.
• Strengthen referral mechanisms between community and health facility nutrition services
• Ensure that consultation, diagnosis and treatment of malnourished patients as per the IMAM protocol is one by all HFs.
• Ensure recording of all nutrition related data by maintaining appropriate filing system and nutrition project documents.
• Conduct regular supervision of the health facilities and CHWs in order to ensure smooth implementation of nutrition projects at HF levels.

Qualification and experience:

• MD or bachelor’s degree nutrition, nurse
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in nutrition or health project, preferably with NGOs or UN Funded programs.
• Knowledge of CMAM and IYCF program implementation.
• Good Communication and supervisor skills.
• Ability to travel frequently to field sites.
