Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Driving and Vehicle Operation:
- Safely operate organization vehicles for transporting staff, visitors, and materials to required destinations.
- Ensure adherence to traffic regulations and the organization’s safety policies.
- Maintain a courteous and professional attitude with passengers and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely pickup and drop-off of personnel according to schedules and instructions.
Vehicle Maintenance and Care:
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are in good operating condition.
- Keep the vehicle clean (interior and exterior) and properly fueled at all times.
- Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or damages immediately to the supervisor.
- Ensure all vehicles are equipped with first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and necessary documents (registration, insurance, etc.).
Administrative and Logistical Support:
- Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, recording mileage, fuel consumption, and trips.
- Assist with basic logistics tasks such as delivering official documents, materials, or supplies.
- Support in airport pickups, hotel arrangements, or other official travel needs.
- Follow travel plans and routes approved by the supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical or defensive driving training preferred).
- Valid national driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- At least two (2) years of experience as a professional driver for national or international organizations.
- Proven knowledge of traffic rules, road safety, and vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with roads and routes in country.
- Ability to communicate in Local language and basic English.
