Job Purpose:

The primary objective of the assessment is to identify needs and provide essential humanitarian emergency services in key sectors, including Livelihoods, WASH, Health, Nutrition, MHPSS, and GBV.

Currently, International Medical Corps (IMC) is implementing projects in these sectors across various provinces, with support from BHA, AHF, UNICEF, and UNFPA.

Main Responsibilities:

Job Description and Scope of Work

1. The Data Collector will be responsible for conducting field-level data collection and ensuring the quality and confidentiality of all gathered information. The key responsibilities include:
2. Attending an orientation session organized at the office prior to field deployment.
3. Visiting assigned sites in the target provinces of Paktika, Balkh, Jawzjan, Faryab and Takhar as per the work plan.
4. Collecting data through household (HH) interviews, Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs).
5. Taking accurate, detailed, and clear notes during KII and FGD sessions.
6. Providing daily progress updates to the MEAL Manager.
7. Reporting to the MEAL Manager for data verification, cross-checking, and rectification as needed.
8. Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and overall quality of collected data.
9. Maintaining privacy and confidentiality of all respondents and beneficiaries throughout the data collection process.

Qualification:

• High school graduate. Bachelor’s degree will be given preference.

The candidate must be from the relevant province, with priority given to applicants residing in the target district.

Experience:

• Proven experience in qualitative and quantitative surveys, within conducting Interviews, KIIs and Focus group discussions (FGDs).

          Preference will be given to locals of duty station.

Competency :

• Able to travel to remote areas.
• Comfortable with the discussion about Health, Nutrition, and other relevant issues
• Fluent in Pashto and Dari, speaking English is preferred.

         Familiar with Computer skill and using tablets for data entry.
