About Youth Assembly for Afghanistan Rehabilitation (YAAR):
Youth’s Assembly for Afghanistan Rehabilitation (YAAR) is a non-governmental, not-for-profit, and non-political organization established in 1994 in Afghanistan. YAAR aims to contribute to the emergency relief, rehabilitation, and development of Afghanistan. The organization works in partnership with communities, humanitarian, and development organizations through a participatory approach, with a special focus on marginalized communities, particularly women, children, and youth across Afghanistan.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
1. Mobilize target communities and facilitate participation in project activities
2. Conduct community meetings to explain project objectives, selection criteria, and implementation processes
3. Support transparent beneficiary identification, verification, and registration in coordination with community elders and local structures
4. Assist beneficiaries during trainings, distributions, and implementation of livelihood and agriculture activities
5. Maintain regular follow-up with beneficiaries to monitor participation and address field-level issues
6. Collect and document community feedback, challenges, and lessons learned
7. Maintain basic field records including attendance sheets and beneficiary lists
8. Report daily and weekly field updates, progress, and challenges to the Team Leader
9. Coordinate with local authorities and community leaders when required
10. Ensure respectful engagement, inclusion of vulnerable groups, and compliance with organizational policies
11. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Job Requirements:
Minimum secondary education: diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage
At least 1–2 years of experience in community mobilization, field work, or NGO projects
Strong knowledge of local communities and context in Faryab Province
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability and willingness to work in rural and field-based environments
Required Languages are: Pashto, Dari, Uzbeki, and english
