Job Description:

Job Purpose

Lead and supervise system operators at the assigned border, ensuring accurate operation of the GPS Locker system, strict compliance with standard operating procedures, secure handling of devices, and effective coordination with HQ, control rooms, and customs authorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily site operations, staff shifts, and handover processes.
  • Ensure correct installation, activation, sealing, and removal of GPS lockers on transit vehicles.
  • Verify trip data accuracy (vehicle, driver, route, trip ID) prior to activation.
  • Ensure GPS lockers are properly configured, installed, charged, and securely stored.
  • Act as the primary focal point for customs officials, transporters, and site authorities.
  • Coordinate with HQ Monitoring Center for trip activation, alert handling, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor site-level compliance with SOPs and operator performance.
  • Escalate incidents, irregularities, connectivity issues, or delays to HQ immediately.
  • Manage site inventory, including GPS lockers, charging stations, and accessories.
  • Ensure proper issuance, return, and accountability of devices.
  • Coordinate field operators for maintenance, replacement, or troubleshooting activities.
  • Maintain real-time data sync between site systems and HQ monitoring center.
  • Document incidents, delays, and operational challenges accurately.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational and inventory reports to HQ.
  • Ensure secure handling of devices and sensitive operational data at all times.
  • Perform any other task or duty which is assigned by the project operation manager.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software engineering, IT, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in technical team supervisory, logistics, customs, and IT operational roles.
  • Prior experience with GPS tracking, IoT systems, or border operations is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of GPS/GSM-based systems and basic device troubleshooting.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in field-based operational environments.
  • Able to work on shift bases.
  • High integrity and accountability in handling sensitive devices and data.
  • Fluent in Dari, Pashto, and English.
