• Implement and monitor Health, Safety, Environmental, and Social (HSES/ESHS) requirements on construction sites

• Conduct and implement Environmental, Social, Health and Safety (ESHS) screening for project activities

• Ensure proper implementation and monitoring of the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP)

• Enforce compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) procedures

• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for site staff and workers

• Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety regulations

• Identify site hazards, conduct risk assessments, and recommend mitigation measures

• Record, investigate, and report incidents, accidents, and near-misses

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly ESHS and safety reports

• Ensure compliance with national regulations, donor requirements, and international ESHS standards

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Social Science, or a related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety / ESHS Officer in construction projects

• Proven experience in ESHS screening and ESMP implementation is mandatory

• Experience in donor-funded projects is an advantage

• HSE / OHS / NEBOSH certification is an advantage

• English language proficiency (spoken and written) is mandatory

• Strong reporting and communication skills
