NSRDO is a youth-led organization founded in 2006, dedicated to empowering marginalized women, children, and people with disabilities across Afghanistan. We focus on uplifting vulnerable communities by addressing critical issues such as poverty, education, WASH, healthcare, and sustainable development. Guided by the belief that everyone deserves a fair chance at a better future, we work tirelessly to provide resources, support, and hope to those in need.
We also work in food & security, agriculture, emergency relief, nutrition, peacebuilding, livelihood, community infrastructure, and the defense of human rights. NSRDO commenced its operations in 2005. Since then, NSRDO has been operating in Kabul and other provinces of Afghanistan and has regional offices in Nangarhar, Kandahar, Herat, Kunduz, Bamyan, and Paktia Provinces, along with its head office in Kabul.
NSRDO was registered in the Ministry of Planning by decision no. (951) dated 25/6/1383 and entitled to work in the capital, Kabul, and other provinces. This is also reregistered in the Ministry of Economy by decision no. (598) dated 8/6/06. Additionally, the US Embassy, the European Commission, the Canadian Fund, UNPP, UNGM, MoLSA, MoMD, MoE, and MoPH all have NSRDO registered.

NSRDO operates solely in Afghanistan, aiming to transform itself into one of Afghanistan’s foremost- developed NGOs. Although it continues to respond to the needs of rural communities in order to improve their living condition and utilize the resource in a well and transparent manner. NSRDO endeavors to reach the most disadvantaged groups in Afghan society often under very difficult circumstances. Among those with whom NSRDO works are poor families, women, farmers, unemployed and the uneducated population across the country.

Job Description:
Job Summary
- Responsible for the logistics and stock management
- Responsible for the reception, dispatch, and security of the items
- Responsible for the food stock management.
Duties & Responsibilities
A. STOCK CONTROL AND TRACKING
- A stock card exists for all items and is updated systematically and immediately for every entry and exit of the item.
- Theoretical inventory is updated immediately and reported monthly.
- Physical inventory (stock take) should be realized every three months.
B. STORAGE
- Stocks should be well ventilated and kept at the correct temperature and humidity.
- Items should be stacked in an organized manner, following the guidelines.
- Stocks should be organized logically and neatly.
- Ensures that the warehouse facilities are supplied with related equipment and consumables (stock cards, cardboard boxes, adhesive tape, ladders, trolleys, etc.)
C. RECEPTION AND DISPATCH
- Receive supplies and check the reception documents, quantities, and quality before writing comments, dating, and signing.
- Report any discrepancies (document, quantity, and quality) immediately.
- Follow the needs of the NSRDO staff and provide them with the requested consumable goods through weekly orders. Accurate predictions should be made based on delivery times.
- d) Receive written demand for dispatch from the appropriate persons.
- e) Prepares outgoing goods in accordance with the demand: packaging and instructions.
- f) Supervise handling staff (daily workers) when required.
D. FOOD
- Special consideration should be given to the supply and storage of food and non-food items.
- Supplies should be received for food and non-food items at an appropriate time frame.
- Systematically follows FIFO procedures for the food (First In First Out).
E. WATSAN
- Special consideration should be given to WatSan materials, particularly chlorine, which should be stored in a well-ventilated ventilated on plastic or wooden shelves.
F. SECURITY
- Stocks should be kept secure with adequate locks
- Access should be kept restricted only to the allowed persons.
G. ADDITIONAL TASKS
- The store-keeper should be fit and healthy and capable of physical work.
- On request, perform any other additional duties given by the immediate supervisor in order to allow the organization to function optimally
3. COMMUNICATION
A. MEETINGS
- Meet with the Supply Chain Officer every morning for information on deliveries.
B. REPORTING
- Updating of stock cards, monthly theoretical inventory, and tri-monthly stock take.
- Immediately report any missing materials, suspicious or otherwise.
4. OTHER
- The responsibilities mentioned above are not exhaustive, and other work can be required according to the needs of the mission. This job description defines the guiding rules and principles specific to the post, which must be respected when carrying out the abovementioned tasks and responsibilities.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in international organizations – UN Agencies, INGOs, IOs, Donors
- Experience in working in humanitarian interventions, including large complex operations and/or development programs. (Preferred)
- Strong knowledge of MS Office.
- Effective IT skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.
- Good capacity building and management skills, including human resource and financial management, communications, and intercultural cooperation skills.
- Strong capacity-building, technical, supervisory, and problem-solving skills, and proven ability to work in shelter project management.
- Strong budget management and reporting skills, and an ability to oversee multiple awards from a variety of donors.

- Fluent in Pashto and Dari + good English knowledge, spoken and written
