Job Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership and Management

  • Overall project leadership, supervision, and strategic direction
  • Approval of implementation plans, training schedules, and activity work plans
  • Financial oversight and expenditure monitoring in line with H-HERO financial management procedures and donor compliance requirements
  • Ensuring achievement of project objectives, outputs, and impact-level indicators
  • Leading monthly internal implementation review meetings
  • Chairing quarterly performance and safeguarding review sessions

Stakeholder Coordination and Liaison

  • Liaison with relevant provincial authorities, community leaders, and local stakeholders
  • Maintaining coordination with the Kandahar local government authorities.
  • Ensuring project alignment with local priorities while maintaining a community-based humanitarian approach
  • Representation of H-HERO in relevant coordination forums
  • Oversight of the Regional Virtual HER-Team Platform governance framework
  • Supervision of the NGOs/CSOs selection process through Expression of Interest (EOI) mechanism
  • Reviewing and endorsing platform coordination documentation and governance arrangements
  • Donor reporting and compliance with project requirements
  • Ensuring timely submission of quarterly and final narrative reports
  • Maintaining documentation for audit and donor reporting purposes
  • Ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability across all positions
