Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Geophysics, Geology, Earth Sciences, Physics, or a related discipline.
Professional Geoscientist or Geophysicist certification (where applicable).
Certifications or demonstrated proficiency in specialized seismic design, field processing, and QC software (e.g., MESA / OMNI 3D, VISTA Seismic Processing/ ProMAX) are desirable.
HSE and First Aid certifications.
Work Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the field of seismic acquisition within the oil and gas industry.
Experience working in remote field environments and drilling locations.
Proven experience in seismic data acquisition and quality control.
Key Technical Skills
Strong understanding of 2D/3D seismic data acquisition principles.
Proficiency in field seismic data quality control (QC), real-time data verification, and basic field processing (brute stack).
Solid understanding of seismic wave propagation, noise analysis, and field velocity analysis.
Hands-on experience with modern field seismic acquisition systems, sensors, and QC software.
Ability to identify data anomalies, equipment distortions, and signal-to-noise issues in real time.
Understanding of Vertical Seismic Profiling (VSP) principles and check-shot survey methodologies.
Understanding of seismic-to-well data integration principles to support geological interpretation and resolve subsurface objectives.
Languages:
Dari and/ or Pashto fluent (spoken and written) mandatory.
English: Advanced to proficient level required, with strong business writing, negotiation, and professional communication skills.
Russian language skills are a distinct advantage.
