Job Summary

About the Role

Zhakfar is seeking an experienced Civil Site Design and Land Development Engineer to join our engineering team. The primary responsibility of this position is to prepare and coordinate professional site plans and engineering designs for residential, commercial, and other development projects, including site layout, grading and drainage, stormwater management, utility planning, erosion and sediment control, engineering calculations, and permit documentation. The selected candidate will work closely with project managers, architects, surveyors, consultants, and regulatory authorities to resolve design issues, address review comments, and deliver accurate, practical, and well coordinated plans

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field.

  • At least three years of relevant professional experience in civil site design, land development, or site plan preparation.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing coordinated site plans for residential, commercial, or other development projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including surfaces, alignments, profiles, grading, pipe networks, corridors, plan production, and quantity calculations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of site layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion and sediment control.
  • Ability to perform and document hydrologic, hydraulic, grading, drainage, stormwater, and utility calculations using appropriate engineering methods and software.
  • Ability to read and interpret topographic and boundary surveys, easements, utility information, environmental constraints, zoning ordinances, municipal codes, engineering standards, and permit requirements.
  • Experience preparing technical reports, engineering narratives, calculation packages, application documents, and responses to regulatory review comments.
  • Familiarity with zoning, land development, and building permit submission and approval processes.
  • Ability to work independently, coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, manage multiple assignments, and meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to provide examples or a portfolio of completed site plans and related engineering work.
