Job Description:

Job Summary:
Ensure that all project activities meet social and environmental safeguards and lead on community mobilization approaches to promote participation and ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct social and environmental screening and risk assessments.
  • Monitor compliance with safeguards in all rehabilitation and community interventions.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and community mobilization.
  • Support reporting on SES compliance and mitigation measures.
  • Integrate disaster risk reduction, climate adaptation, and green practices into planning.
  • Coordinate with municipalities and environmental departments.
  • Document lessons learned and provide recommendations to improve safeguard compliance.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Environmental Science, Development Studies, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in safeguards, impact assessments, or community mobilization.
  • Strong knowledge of SES frameworks and UNDP policies.
