Software Developer (Front-end & Back-end)

The Software Developer will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative software applications that meet client needs and support Awtsaar LCS’s technology portfolio. The role requires expertise in full-stack development, problem-solving, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure digital solutions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Software Design & Development

  • Analyze user requirements and translate them into functional technical designs.

  • Develop, test, and deploy scalable, maintainable, and reusable code.

  • Implement both front-end (user interfaces) and back-end (server, database, APIs) functionalities.

  • Ensure responsive and intuitive designs for web and desktop applications.

• Integration & Optimization

  • Build and manage APIs for smooth communication between systems.

  • Integrate third-party services and tools to enhance functionality.

  • Optimize software performance, scalability, and speed across different environments.

• Quality Assurance

  • Conduct debugging, unit testing, and performance testing.

  • Implement secure coding practices to safeguard data and system integrity.

  • Prepare technical documentation and user manuals for developed systems.

• Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with project managers, designers, testers, and other developers.

  • Provide input on project timelines, feasibility, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile development activities.

• Research & Innovation

  • Stay updated with the latest programming languages, frameworks, and tools.

  • Propose and implement improvements in workflows and coding standards.

  • Experiment with new technologies to improve efficiency and client satisfaction.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.

• Master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage but not mandatory.

• Professional certifications such as AWS Developer, Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), or similar are highly desirable.

Work Experience

• Minimum 1–5+ years of hands-on professional experience in software development (preferably full-stack).

• Demonstrated experience in developing enterprise-level applications, client–server systems, or web platforms.

• Practical exposure to Agile/Scrum development environments.

• Prior experience working with cross-functional teams or international clients is a strong plus.

Technical Competencies

• Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js.

• Proficiency in back-end technologies: Node.js, Python, Laravel, PHP, Java, or C#.

• Solid understanding of database management systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

• Experience in API design, development, and integration (RESTful, GraphQL).

• Familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Understanding of software security practices, encryption, and authentication methods.

• Familiarity with unit testing, automation testing, and debugging practices.

• Hands-on experience with version control systems such as GitHub/GitLab.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, and proficiency in Dari and/or Pashto.

Other Requirements

• Willingness to travel to project sites within Afghanistan if needed.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
