FSCWEO works to promote social change, empower women and youth, and support vulnerable communities through programs in education, health, WASH, livelihoods, human rights, and humanitarian assistance. Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of livelihoods and enterprise development activities in accordance with project objectives and donor requirements.
  • Conduct market assessments, value chain analyses, and livelihood need assessments to identify economic opportunities and inform project interventions.
  • Design and implement strategies to strengthen household livelihoods, income generation, entrepreneurship, and small business development.
  • Support the identification, selection, and mobilization of project beneficiaries in coordination with communities and local stakeholders.
  •  Provide technical guidance and capacity-building support to entrepreneurs, producer groups, cooperatives, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
  • Develop and deliver training programs on business development, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, marketing, and income-generating activities.
  • Facilitate access to markets, financial services, business networks, and employment opportunities for project participants.
  • Support the development and implementation of business plans and enterprise growth strategies for targeted beneficiaries.
  • Monitor the performance and sustainability of supported livelihood and enterprise initiatives and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with government institutions, private sector actors, financial institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure that livelihoods and enterprise interventions are inclusive, gender-sensitive, environmentally sustainable, and responsive to community needs.
  • Collect, analyze, and report project data, success stories, lessons learned, and best practices related to livelihoods and enterprise development.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, work plans, budgets, and donor updates.
  •  Conduct regular field visits to monitor project implementation, verify results, and provide technical support to field teams.
  •  Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor regulations, and project quality standards.
  •  Support the integration of resilience-building, economic recovery, and sustainable development approaches into project activities.
  •  Assist in identifying new livelihood opportunities and innovative approaches to improve economic outcomes for vulnerable populations.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager or supervisor related to livelihoods and enterprise development.

Job Requirements

Academic Qualifications:
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Economics, Livelihoods or related discipline

Professional experience:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in livelihood programming and enterprise development
• Experience in climate-smart agriculture, income generation and market linkages
• Experience in training and capacity building
