La Chaîne de l’Espoir is an international humanitarian organisation working to improve access to quality healthcare for vulnerable children and women. Through medical care, capacity building and partnerships, it supports health systems and communities in fragile and crisis-affected contexts.
In 2025, La Chaîne de l’Espoir strengthened safe access to specialized healthcare for women and children while reinforcing national capacities in Afghanistan. Through the Mother and Children House at FMIC Kabul and a nationwide referral network, 2,427 children and 333 women accessed free specialized care, including life-saving surgeries, nutrition support and maternal health services. Complementary programmes addressed acute malnutrition, emergency response to earthquakes, and medical training for Afghan health professionals.
