Job Summary

  • Conduct X-ray screening of all presumptive TB cases identified by the mobile health team nurse among IDPs and other key and vulnerable populations (diabetics, People with Injectable Drug Use, people with mental health disorders).
  • Operate the mobile digital X-ray unit to produce high-quality chest X-rays in accordance with training and operational manual of X-ray units deployed.
  • Register patients accurately, verify patient identity, and ensure proper positioning before imaging.
  • Upload and securely transmit digital X-ray images for interpretation through the designated reporting system or CAD software.
  • Conduct routine equipment checks, ensure proper maintenance, and promptly report any technical problems in accordance with the after-sale services agreed with the manufacturer.
  • Comply with radiation safety, infection prevention and control (IPC), and occupational health standards, including the appropriate use of PPE.
  • Explain the X-ray procedure to clients and ensure respectful, confidential, gender-sensitive, and culturally appropriate services.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, equipment logs, and daily activity reports, and submit reports as required.
  • Help and assist the mobile health team nurse with the verbal screening of target population.
  • Support the setup, operation, and transportation of the mobile X-ray unit during outreach activities.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in radiologic technology and medical Imaging from a known institute.
  • Minimum two years of experience in diagnostic radiography; experience with digital mobile X-ray systems and TB screening is preferred.
  • Competence in digital radiography and mobile X-ray operation.
  • Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in remote and hard-to-reach areas, including extended working hours when required.
  • Basic computer skills for digital imaging, data entry, and reporting.
  • Physical ability to safely handle and transport portable X-ray equipment.
