Vocational Trainer (Solar & Electrical/Wiring )

JRS (Jesuit Refugee Service), founded in 1980, is an international organization with a mission to accompany, serve, and defend the rights of forcibly displaced people. JRS facilitates involvement by individuals and communities and promotes regional and global co-operation and networking on behalf of refugees.

• The Vocational Training trainer will register the male youth through proper filing system. 
• Design and update training curricula and materials to ensure they are current with industry standards for Electrical/Wiring & Solar training. Displays training plan at the training center for the complete approved program.
• Plan and prepare the daily trainings based on the progress of the trainees. 
•   Organizing and setting up the training center based on the course work. 

• Set-up the training center with assistance of the field team.
• Enroll the candidates in the training program based on the criteria prescribed by JRS.
• Responsible to maintain the inventory of the training centre.
• Develop learning objectives and outcomes for each training session.
• Conduct classroom and hands-on practical training sessions.
• Use a variety of instructional techniques to accommodate different learning styles.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and adjust them as needed.
• Administer assessments to measure trainee progress and competency.
• Ensure all training activities comply with safety regulations and standards.
• Educate trainees on safety practices specific to wiring, solar installation and maintenance.
• Provide technical support and guidance to trainees during and after the completion of training programs.
• Responsible for documentation regarding the centre and participants
• Stay abreast of technological advancements in the solar industry.
• Facilitate internship for the participants in various locations in Herat city.
• Ensures the use of the spare parts in most productive manner towards the proper functioning of the system. 
• Continuous evaluation of the students to ensure the effectiveness of the course taught. 
• Guiding students in group and practical work to get better results.
• Implementation of additional duties in relation to the course work taught. 

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, Solar Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in solar PV installation and maintenance.
• Previous teaching or training experience is an advantage.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
