Job Summary

 

  1. Lead and supervise food/ CBT distribution activities at the district level, ensuring timely and effective implementation in line with project plans and standards.
  2. Supervise and guide the district project team to ensure activities are completed efficiently and within deadlines.
  3. Coordinate beneficiary identification, registration, and verification activities at community and household levels.
  4. Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and communicate management updates.
  5. Prepare, review, and submit accurate activity and distribution reports within the required deadlines.
  6. Ensure effective coordination and communication among project staff, beneficiaries, community representatives, and relevant stakeholders.
  7. Verify commodities received at FDPs against waybills and ensure proper documentation and accountability.
  8. Inspect incoming commodities for quantity, quality, and condition, and promptly report any discrepancies or damages.
  9. Supervise commodity offloading, counting, stacking, and proper arrangement at distribution points.
  10. Ensure commodities are safely stored on plastic sheets and properly organized by type to maintain hygiene and minimize losses.
  11. Supervise food/ CBT distribution activities at FDPs, ensuring compliance with WFP and project procedures.
  12. Ensure fair, transparent, and orderly beneficiary verification and distribution processes.
  13. Maintain effective crowd control and site management to ensure the safety and orderly movement of beneficiaries.
  14. Ensure all required distribution materials and equipment are available, including forms, ropes, banners, plastic sheets, and measuring tools.
  15. Supervise the loading and return of leftover commodities and ensure proper documentation and waybill processing through LMA.
  16. Maintain complete and accurate distribution records, including tally sheets, beneficiary lists, waybills, and other relevant documents.
  17. Ensure all project documents are properly filed, maintained, and securely stored at the district office.
  18. Report operational issues, incidents, commodity discrepancies, and other challenges to project management in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Public Administration, Economics, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in food/ CBT distribution and WFP-supported projects.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, supervision, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in Dari and Pashto; good working knowledge of English.
  • Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to different districts within the assigned province.
  • Willingness to work in remote locations, difficult terrain, and demanding field conditions for extended periods.
  • Strong commitment to accountability, transparency, teamwork, and humanitarian principles.
