1. Background
The French Medical Institute for Mothers and Children (FMIC) is conducting a market assessment to identify alternative pharmaceutical brands and manufacturers for a range of medications used by the Institute. The information received through this Request for Information (RFI) will assist FMIC in identifying and evaluating suitable pharmaceutical brands and manufacturers for its future procurement requirements.

2. Purpose of the RFI
This RFI is issued to collect market information and identify alternative pharmaceutical brands available through the local pharmaceutical market in Afghanistan. The information received will support FMIC's technical evaluation and future procurement planning.This RFI is issued solely for information-gathering purposes and does not constitute a tender, request for quotation, commitment to purchase, or award of any contract.

3. Invitation to Interested Suppliers
FMIC invites manufacturing companies, pharmaceutical importers, distributors, wholesalers, and suppliers registered and operating in Afghanistan to participate in this market assessment. Interested suppliers are requested to obtain FMIC's pharmaceutical item list and submit their proposed brands and manufacturers for the products they are able to supply. Suppliers may submit proposals for all items or only for those products that are available through their distribution channels.

4. Information to be Submitted
Based on the pharmaceutical list provided by FMIC, interested suppliers are requested to submit the following information for each proposed product:

• Generic name
• Brand / Manufacturer name
• Country of origin

5. Obtaining the Pharmaceutical List
Interested suppliers may request the pharmaceutical item list by contacting the Purchase Department of FMIC using the contact details provided below.

6. Submission of Information
Suppliers shall submit their proposals electronically to FMIC no later than August 10, 2026. Late submissions may not be considered.

7. Important Notice

• This RFI is issued solely for market assessment purposes.
• Participation in this RFI is voluntary and does not prequalify a supplier for any future procurement process.
• FMIC reserves the right to evaluate the information received and use it for technical assessment and future procurement planning.
• FMIC is under no obligation to issue any tender or procure any products as a result of this RFI.
