About Kandahar Refugee Organization:

Kandahar Refugee Organization (KRO) is a national-level, non-political, non-profitable, non-governmental organization working for humanitarian and rehabilitation roots in Afghanistan. Job Description:

 

  • Lead the planning, execution, and closure of project in line with organizational goals and donor requirements.
  • Ensure effective coordination among project staff, implementing partners, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the development of project work plans, budgets, and procurement plans, ensuring alignment with objectives.
  • Manage day-to-day project operations, including supervision of staff, activity implementation, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with donor regulations and internal policies and procedures.
  • Monitor project progress against targets and timelines, identify challenges, and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular field visits to ensure effective implementation and community engagement.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and government bodies.
  • Prepare timely and quality progress reports, case studies, and donor reports.
  • Promote gender equality, community participation, and environmental sustainability across all project activities.
  • Ensure that lessons learned and best practices are documented and integrated into future planning.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Rural Development, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Environmental Engineering, Human Resource Management, Integrated Water Management, Law, Economics, or any other relevant field (Bachelor's degree acceptable with additional experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in project management, DRR, community resilience, integrated development, or civil engineering (Bachelor's degree holders must have 2 extra years of experience to substitute for the Master’s degree).
  • Prior experience working in Kandahar, Zabul and Logar provinces and with UNDP, UN, or INGO-funded projects is highly preferred.
  • Fluency in Pashto, Dari, and English is required.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
