Job Summary

1.     Conduct on job training sessions on silk thread reeling techniques for beneficiaries, ensuring proper handling of cocoons and efficient extraction of silk filament.

2.     Provide practical demonstrations on silk thread dyeing processes, including preparation, coloring techniques, and finishing methods.

3.     Develop and implement training plans and schedules for trainees involved in silk processing activities.

4.     Ensure trainees understand quality control standards for silk thread production and dyeing.

5.     Train beneficiaries on the proper use and maintenance of reeling and dyeing equipment.

6.     Monitor trainees’ performance and provide technical guidance and hands-on support during practical sessions.

7.     Promote safe working practices in silk reeling and dyeing processes, including proper handling of chemicals and hot water.

8.     Maintain records of training attendance, progress, and performance of trainees.

9.     Support trainees in developing small-scale silk production skills to enhance livelihood opportunities.

10.  Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of training materials and equipment.

11.  Coordinate with the project team to ensure timely delivery of training activities.

12.  Provide follow-up mentoring and technical advice to trainees after the completion of training sessions.

13.  Submit daily, weekly, and final training reports to the project supervisor or manager.

14.  Identify trainees who require additional support and provide extra coaching where necessary.

15.  Carry out any other duties related to silk thread reeling and dyeing training as assigned by the supervisor or project manager.

Job Requirements

1.     Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Sericulture, Vocational Education, Handicrafts, or a related field, or a Diploma in a relevant discipline with substantial practical experience.

2.     At least 2 years of experience in silk thread reeling and dyeing or related textile production activities.

3.     Practical knowledge of silk processing techniques and dyeing methods.

4.     Experience in training, coaching, or capacity building is highly desirable.

5.     Ability to demonstrate technical processes clearly and effectively to trainees.

6.     Good communication and interpersonal skills.

7.     Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

8.     Ability to work respectfully with community members and beneficiaries.

9.     Willingness and ability to travel to project locations or districts when required.
