Initiatives for Sustainable Development and Relief Organization is a national NGO registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan. ISDR-Organization works to improve access to health, education, and youth development services in vulnerable Afghan communities, with a strong focus on quality, accountability, and sustainable impact.

Job Summary:

ISDR is seeking qualified and motivated Midwifes in all provinces of Afghansitan to support the implementation of a women’s health initiative focused on expanding access to essential health services. The selected candidate will play a central role in clinical service delivery, awareness activities, coordination with health facilities, and client support. This role blends professional midwifery expertise with outreach, capacity-building, and partner engagement.

1. Deliver essential clinical services in line with medical standards and organizational protocols.
2. Conduct educational sessions for clients, families, and communities to promote informed health decisions.
3. Facilitate and deliver training workshops for medical staff and relevant stakeholders.
4. Provide individualized guidance to clients on suitable health options, ensuring respectful and informed care.
5. Support formal partnerships with hospitals/clinics through MoUs and ensure effective collaboration.
6. Monitor service delivery, including regular follow-ups on facility performance and supply usage.
7. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and monthly reporting to supervisors.
8. Ensure quality assurance by tracking compliance with protocols and collecting feedback for improvement.
9. Offer additional maternal and women’s health services and coordinate client referrals as needed.
10. Other duties assigned by the line manager.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Midwife degree from a well-recognized university/Institute.
• Experience: At least 1 years relevant experience, preferably in the health sector.
• Skills:
  • familirity with Project and program management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Personal and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English, Pashto, and Dari (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a challenging environment.
  • Diplomas or certifications in administration or project and program management will be a plus point.
