Hewad Vocational and Social Organization (HVSO) is a not-for-profit, non-political, and non-governmental humanitarian organization. HVSO was established in 2012 to work alongside other national and international partners for provision of education, health, community development and empowerment, and other social services aiming to reach the most unreached and highly underserved societies and women empowerment focusing on alleviating the sufferings of the most vulnerable groups of the society in different community structures such as rural, urban, IDPs, returnees, etc. Since its establishment, HVSO has worked hard to implement projects that ensure people’s access to quality and equitable education and health and other basic life services with focus on vulnerable group of society (women and children).

The Market Linkage Officer will be responsible to link the youth and adults trained on ECE with the potential market opportunities in Farah. He will also help them prepare necessary documents including resumes, skills set, kits, and presentation to present themselves and get the potential opportunities. The Officer will be mainly responsible for supporting the trained beneficiaries to prepare themselves for potential market opportunities in Farah city aiming at improve and institutionalizing education especially ECE in communities in Farah as well as generating some income for the men and women trained on ECE. He/ She has to develop reports, present findings and progress, and draw conclusions about the project’s impact, market linkage progress and its success in the field.

1. The Market Officer will be responsible for conducting a rapid market assessment in Farah city to identify the needs and opportunities for the trained ECE Facilitators, producing a report on the findings of the assessment.
2. The Market Officer will be responsible for developing and maintaining a list of local opportunities in Farah City where these trained ECE facilitators could be engaged to ensure they could utilize the gained skills in the future for market support and linkage.
3. Should work locally to help the individuals to connect with the market ensuring they could improve and use their skills for the institutionalization of ECE in Farah.
4. Facilitate linkages between enterprises, NGOs, Private sector, Communities, and the trained to ensure the trained individuals can use their skills and given kits to support the communities, children and at the same time generate income for their families.
5. Maintain accurate records of market linkage activities during his work, including contacts, meetings, agreements, and possible outcomes.
6. Lessons learnt, key information, techniques and all necessary information related to market linkage will be shared with the beneficiaries, HVSO Main office team, and UNICEF for further possible actions.
7. Sign and adhere to HVSO’s internal policies including anti-corruption, PSEA, CoC, Gender, and Child Safeguarding and Protection.
8. Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
