Verify – a Canadian independent monitoring, verification, and transparency platform – is seeking qualified Field Verification Officers to conduct independent field monitoring of donor-funded and NGO-implemented projects across Afghanistan. Verification Officers will travel to project sites, engage with communities, collect evidence, and submit structured reports through Verify's secure digital system. This is a project-based consultancy; officers are assigned to missions based on geographic coverage and project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct field visits to project sites, including clinics, schools, food distribution points, infrastructure works, and community programs
• Verify that reported activities, services, and distributions have taken place as planned
• Interview beneficiaries, project staff, and community representatives using structured questionnaires
• Collect geo-tagged photographs, GPS data, and monitoring forms using a smartphone
• Submit accurate and timely reports through Verify's digital platform
• Identify and report discrepancies, risks, or irregularities in project implementation
• Maintain strict confidentiality, neutrality, and professional ethics at all times

Reporting and Supervision: Field Verification Officers work under the supervision of the Verify Monitoring Team. Assignments, tools, and reporting templates are provided through the Verify digital platform.

Compensation: Officers are compensated per completed and approved assignment. Payments are made via bank transfer following verification of submitted work.

Ethics and Compliance: All officers must comply with Verify's Code of Conduct, confidentiality policies, and data protection standards. Any falsification, misrepresentation, or conflict of interest will result in immediate contract termination.

Job Requirements: All of the following requirements must be met:

• Minimum three (3) years of professional experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, third-party monitoring, field verification, or humanitarian project monitoring
• Fluency in English, Pashto, and Dari — spoken and written
• Strong computer skills, including use of email, online forms, and digital reporting systems
• Ability to use a smartphone for data collection, GPS tracking, and photo documentation
• Ability to travel within assigned provinces and districts
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail

Preferred: Experience working with NGOs, international organizations, or donor-funded programs is strongly preferred.
