Job Summary

·       Plan and supervise daily the warehouse and stock management activities in the project, ensuring compliance with AKHS, A standards, protocols, and procedures.

·       Receive medical and medical equipment according to the standard and SOP.

·       Conduct the inventory of pharmaceutical items every quarter. And report to the pharmacy senior officer.

·       Check and control the cold chain medicine daily and report to the pharmacy senior officer.

·       Check the stock condition and security and report to the pharmacy senior officer.

·       Prepare each pharmaceutical item's stock card and update it daily.

·       Keep documentation (GRN, GDN, Inventory reports, stock card, temperature sheet, near-expiry medicine list, disposal reports, monthly stock movement reports …)

·       To ensure good receiving, good storage management, and good distribution practice.

·       Ensure that all necessary tools and management procedures are in place to avoid stock ruptures, losses (unclean, expiries, damages due to bad storage conditions, temperature breaches), and excess stocks.

·       Check, record, and arrange the items received and ensure the availability of various items for various projects and departments (medical supplies, medicine lab reagents, equipment, etc.).

·       Ensure that all items are well organized and correctly stored according to their specificity, well protected, fully identified, and easily accessible (cleanliness, security, access, etc.).

·       Give regular feedback to the line manager and report any issue or incident directly.

·       Ensure the coverage of the human resources needs and maintain high standards of quality; organize and coordinate the activities of the team supervised (week’s schedule, annual leave, absences, etc.), communicate with the HR Admin department all relevant information in due time; evaluate performance; and define and ensure the needs for training.

·       Perform hands-on tasks as part of the team whenever required or needed to optimize the resources and to contribute with his or her knowledge and experience.

·       To perform any other tasks and assignments provided by the line manager. All related pharmacy tasks will be shared with the pharmacy Sr. Officer and will respect the line; otherwise, the HR policy will apply.

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Education:

 

·    Pharmacy diploma or bachelor’s degree in pharmacy preferred; bachelor’s degree.        

Work Experience:

·       2 years’ experience in the pharmacy field

 Skills:  

        Computer:

·       Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)                                

Technical Skills:

Pharmacy management skills, Communication skills, and knowledge of local communities. Interpersonal, managerial, and conflict resolution skills. Understanding of gender issues. 

 Other Skills:

Languages: Knowledge of English, Dari, and Pashto.

Personal Characteristics:              

·       Be able to work independently/in a team.

·       Assist in the Preparation of new program proposals.
