Job Summary

•    Monitor pregnant women, assess labor progress, identify danger signs, conduct normal deliveries, administer medications, and refer complications.
•    Perform immediate newborn assessment, essential newborn care, monitor for complications, support breastfeeding, and maintain newborn records.
•    Respond to obstetric and neonatal emergencies, assist clinical procedures, and ensure availability of emergency supplies.
•    Counsel mothers on ANC, PNC, newborn care, breastfeeding, hygiene, nutrition, and family planning.
•    Record vital signs, labor progress, delivery outcomes, ANC/PNC/FP data, and prepare accurate handover notes
•    Register ANC clients and conduct full history, physical, and obstetric examinations.
•    Diagnose, treat, and refer high‑risk cases per national guidelines.
•    Provide routine ANC medications, MIYCN counseling, and check TD vaccination status.
•    Record all ANC information and schedule follow‑up visits.
•    Provide routine postnatal counseling and conduct physical examinations.
•    Identify and manage maternal and newborn complications; refer when needed.
•    Promote exclusive breastfeeding, essential newborn care, hygiene, and nutrition.
•    Record all HMIS data accurately.
•    Provide FP counseling to both parents.
•    Offer FP commodities (pills, injectables, condoms, IUDs).
•    Provide preconception counseling and maintain FP registers.
•    Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and IPC standards.
•    Maintain accurate records, reporting tools, and filing systems.
•    Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
•    Safely store medicines, supplies, and equipment.
•    Maintain stock records and prepare timely stock requests for MCH
•    Deliver ANC, PNC, FP, safe delivery care, and emergency referrals.
•    Promote internal referrals and facilitate referral of complicated cases.
•    Provide health and nutrition education (EBF, complementary feeding, hygiene).
•    Respect organization rules and regulations

Job Requirements

Education: Minimum 2 Years Diploma in Midwifery is Required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Relevant experience:
•    Minimum 3 Years of Experience is required in Midwifery.
•    BEmONC/CEmONC training and experience or equivalent.
•    RMNCH training.
•    Family Planning training and counselling experiences.
•    Good organization, planning and skills are necessary.
•    Experience in working in the remote areas 
•    Knowledge of intervention area is a plus.
•    Ability to manage working environment according to local culture.
•    Develops and promotes effective collaboration within and across units to achieve shared goals and optimize results.
•    High flexibility in deployment, possible with Mahram
