Job Description

Sedaghat Baghlani Agriculture, Livestock & Industrial Slaughterhouse Company is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Finance & Accounting Manager to lead the establishment and management of the company's financial and accounting systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing the company's accounting infrastructure, developing the Chart of Accounts, managing financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, treasury operations, internal controls, and ensuring compliance with Afghanistan's financial and tax regulations.

This role requires extensive hands-on experience in implementing and managing QuickBooks (Desktop & Online), developing accounting policies and procedures, establishing cost centers and financial reporting structures, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management.

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with proven experience in manufacturing, trading, industrial, or multi-branch organizations. Experience in setting up accounting systems from the ground up and managing finance teams is essential.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years in a Finance Manager or Senior Finance position.

• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing a complete accounting system from the ground up.

• Strong expertise in developing and maintaining a Chart of Accounts (COA), Cost Centers, Profit Centers, and financial reporting structures.

• Full professional proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop & Online), including system setup, configuration, implementation, and user training.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, reporting, and data analysis.

• Strong knowledge of Afghanistan's tax laws, financial regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.

• Proven experience in tax planning, tax return preparation, tax filing, and liaising with tax authorities.

• Strong understanding of financial accounting, management accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, treasury management, and internal controls.

• Experience working in manufacturing, trading, industrial, agriculture, livestock, food processing, cold storage, or multi-branch companies is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage, mentor, and develop finance and accounting teams.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning, and decision-making skills.

• High level of integrity, confidentiality, accountability, and professional ethics.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good command of English (written and spoken). 

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
