Just for Afghan Capacity and Knowledge (JACK) is an independent, Non-Governmental, Non-Profit, Non-Political and Non-Sectarian Organization working in Afghanistan in the areas of Capacity Building Education and Health with an aim at improving livelihoods and alleviating poverty.  The organization is re-registered under the Ministry of Economy with registration number, 316 of January 18, 2006. The organization works in Collaboration with other line Ministries, NGOs, INGOs, and donor community. Job Description:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive M&E system for the Faryab CBE Project, including designing data collection tools, monitoring frameworks, and performance indicators aligned with project objectives.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and management of project data, ensuring its accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
  • Conduct regular monitoring visits to project sites to ensure adherence to data collection protocols.
  • Establish and maintain an efficient and reliable MIS database to store project data.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through regular data cleaning and verification processes.
  • Prepare regular reports, including progress reports, quarterly reports, and annual reports, summarizing project activities, achievements, and challenges.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and key insights for project improvement.
  • Provide training and technical support to project staff and partners on data collection, analysis, and reporting. Strengthen their capacity in M&E methodologies and tools.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including government officials, donors, and implementing partners, to ensure alignment of M&E activities with project objectives.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to share project data and findings.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and learning within the project team and with external stakeholders. Document and disseminate best practices, lessons learned, and success stories.
  • Ensure compliance with established M&E standards, protocols, and ethical guidelines.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance checks on data collection processes and outputs.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor.
 

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in education, Social Science, Economics or any other related field (master’s degree is preferred)
  2. Minimum of 5 years’ working experience on similar positions of CBE Education Program with national and international NGOs.
  3. Excellent Pashto and Dari reading, writing and verbal skills, Fluent in English, reading, writing and verbal skills.
  4. Experience in designing and managing MIS databases.
  5. Travel – The position will be based in Faryab with frequent travels to the districts.
  6. Efficiency, result-oriented and excellent management capabilities.
  7. Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and harsh conditions; ability to handle confidential and politically sensitive issues in a responsible and mature manner.
  8. Excellent capacity development and teamwork skills; cross-cultural and gender sensitivity.
  9. Ability to travel throughout country.
  10. Respect confidentiality of organization.
  11. Ability to use information technology effectively.
