Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) is a non-governmental, non-profitable, and non-political Afghan NGO, working since 1987 mainly in agriculture, health, education, and infrastructure sectors in more vulnerable areas of the country. CHA is working through the implementation of Emergency, rehabilitation, and development projects for emergency aid for war, famine, and natural disaster-affected families in the field, to assist with the rehabilitation of rural and urban life, and to work with communities for sustainable development in Afghanistan.

Job Description:
- Develop M&E tools and log-frame components of the Nutrition project.
- Develop baseline and end line survey assessment tools data tracking checklist baseline and end line assessments pre and post training assessment with technical field staff.
- Conduct regular field monitoring and visual observation; manage field staff to do the same;
- Conduct spot checks on a range of program activities, specifically related to commodity handling distribution and compliance;
- Collect qualitative information and success stories which demonstrate impact for beneficiaries, stakeholders and donors.
- Assist in data cleaning translation and analysis for use in evaluative reporting;
- Active participation in the log-frame adjustments and set targets achievement summary report.
- Coordination and moderation of the quarterly Monitoring sessions for the programme management for regular update on the progress and achievement of indicators.
- Complete ongoing data collection according to the M&E Plan and data tool methodologies.
- Train Field staff in data collection and reporting formats to make sure enough information is collected for the semi-annual and annual reports.
- Maintain key M&E document filing and data storage.
- Design and implement PDM tools and surveys for distributions.
- Coordinate and supervise field teams during data collection.
- Analyze PDM data to assess project outcomes and beneficiary satisfaction.
- Clean and validate raw data from the field to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Maintain updated and secure beneficiary databases.
- Identify and resolve data errors or inconsistencies in collaboration with field staff.
- Prepare and submit regular M&E reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
- Provide analytical summaries and data visualizations for internal use and donor reports.
- Document lessons learned, success stories, and recommendations for future programming.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor activity implementation and collect firsthand data.
- Verify data quality through spot checks and interviews with beneficiaries.
- Provide guidance to field staff on M&E tools and best practices.
- Perform any other task assigned by line supervisor.
Job Requirements:
The successful applicants will need to address the following criteria:
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Agriculture, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in M&E roles.
- Demonstrated experience with:
- Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM)
- Data cleaning and analysis
- Field-based monitoring
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, Excel, SPSS, Power BI).
- Strong communication skills in English and local languages.
- Willingness to travel frequently to remote areas
- Familiarity with cultures of different Afghan communities
- Very good interpersonal communication skills.
- Managerial, monitoring and supervisory skills.
