Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) is a non-governmental, non-profitable, and non-political Afghan NGO, working since 1987 mainly in agriculture, health, education, and infrastructure sectors in more vulnerable areas of the country. CHA is working through the implementation of Emergency, rehabilitation, and development projects for emergency aid for war, famine, and natural disaster-affected families in the field, to assist with the rehabilitation of rural and urban life, and to work with communities for sustainable development in Afghanistan.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for the overall management and implementation of the project in Sar-e-pol province.
  • Responsible for the overall coordination of project with all stakeholders in the province
  • Closely oversees performances of the operational and technical staff of the provincial office and makes sure they perform in line with the requirements of the project, organization, and MoPH.
  • Responsible for the overall coordination with different stakeholders: local authorities and community representatives.
  • Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual project activity plan.
  • Ensure all the OTP sites are fully functioning (staffed, supplied in drugs, medical and non-medical equipment…)
  • Identify and make decision to solve any problem which interferes in the delivery of services or in achieving the program objectives and provide report to the office.
  • Reviews the progress VS the performance indicators of the project on regular basis and ensures the project’s target indicators are achieved.
  • Develop and submit project technical (monthly and quarterly) and other reports as per requirements.
  • Follow the budget and allocate required fund for activities as per budget and within the policy threshold, and keep track of expenses against the allocated budget.
  • Liaise with partners (governmental and non-governmental), participate in all coordination meeting with UN, NGOs and government agencies.
  • Ensures that the organization’s policies, guidelines, and procedures are implemented appropriately in the province.
  • Performs any other duty assigned by Program Manager/Director and board of management

Job Requirements:

  • Graduated from Medical University.
  • Professional experience in public Health & Nutrition program management, program formulation, planning, monitoring and evaluation in public health management particularly managing Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund (AHF)projects.
  • Experience in direct implementation of supplementary and therapeutic feeding programs (including CMAM), micronutrient supplementation, maternal health and nutrition programs.
  • Ability in planning and reporting system on result-based approach.
  • Have effective interpersonal and communication skills and capacity to deal with rural communities.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, Dari, Pashto local languages.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and statistical programs
  • Ability to work in a team environment
