Job Summary
The Vaccinator main duties and responsibilities are:
Duties & Responsibilities
- Will understand and try to achieve the monthly and yearly coverage and EPI indicators
- Will have an update list of the EPI and MCH dropouts to follow them in outreach sessions
- Will store, handle and maintain vaccines per Afghan N-EPI/UNICEF/WHO protocols
- Will dispose of contaminated waste in a responsible manner to prevent exposure
- Will provide fixed and outreach EPI activities
- Will maintain a high level of cold chain management all the time
- Will respond immediately to any cold chain irregularity using local possibility including sending Vaccines to other closest health facility with cold chain system
- Will report immediately any irregularity of cold chain to supervisor
- Will provide appropriate patient education to prevent dropout and increase coverage
- Will provide health education for her/his client to fix center and outreach sessions
- Will identify and report problems that interfere in the delivery of services
- Will provide complete accurate clear and on time monthly activity report
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Nursing, Midwife diploma with EPI Certificate.
Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years’ work experience, particularly in vaccination
- Strong Command on Pashto/Dari
- Working experience in the targeted province particularly in Roy-e Douab and Khuram Wa Sarbagh Districts and familiar with concerned community, geography and culture.
