Job Description:

JOB Summary

The Pharmacy/ Logistic officer must have qualification of pharmacy degree and He/she must experience at least three ear experiences of BPHS.

He / She will be responsible for implementing and following up all organization’s activities with relate to Supply Chain Management System such as (as dealing with medicines and) medical equipment and supplies. The Pharmacy /Logistic officer will report to the PHS Project Manager.

Pharmacy Officer/Logistic Officer:

  • Pharmacy/Logistics Officer is responsible for overall Project Logistics/Pharmacy activities according Supply Chain Management rule regulation.
  • Implements Annual Pharmacy Work Plan at the organization level.
  • Maintain and Manage standard pharmacy Stock in main office as well as in the field level
  • Provides the staffs with up-to-date pharmacy related information, guidelines, procedures manual, database and forms.
  • Pharmacy stock should have update filling system of Ware House related documents for ingoing and outgoing such as General Content for available items with Separator system, Stock Card, Bin Card, GRN, GIN, GDN, Waybill, Stock Release Form, Stock Asset/Inventory list, Medicine Alphabetic system etc.
  • Monthly base spot check for pharmacy stock in the base of checklist to verify all items current actual balances and discrepancies need to prepare report than share with line manager.
  • Pharmacy stock medicine management should have Temperature for medicine, stock pallet, Iron Shelf, Medicine Delivery Trolley, Refrigerator for sensitive drugs, stock Standard Setup Stair.
  • To attend training of RUD, MDS, PLIS and Supply Chain Management
  • Receiving and arrangement of drugs for stock.
  • Analyse the HF drug consumption report and request and check of all drug for its expiry prevention and report all those drugs that almost expired to line manager.
  • Prepare Data entry report consumption report and PLIS Paramedical Logistics information system and entry HF request. 
  • Pharmacy stock should weekly, monthly and quarterly update reports must have verified by Project management team.
  • Prepare of, Bid Analyse, Bid Summary, Purchase Order Form, GNR, GDN and Waybill.
  • Prepare of Invitation to Bid (ITB) including other support documents for tender base Procurement according Project requirement and rule regulation of OHW and JUH office.
  • All Procurement document should be review and approve by OHW management team than JUH Logistics Partner Support Department will check and review in the base of Procurement Checklist to verify for further approval of JUH HoM according rule regulation.
  • Prepare of update report of Logistics/Procurement such as Procurement Tracking Report, Asset/Inventory Report, Generator Report, Rental Ambulances/Vehicles Report and Project Stock Report.
  • Project site Supervision to provide Logistics Support for Project Static Clinics and MHTs also need to note site activities finding feedback and recommendation.
  • Plans and implements pharmacy related trainings.
  • Assist the OHW/JUH related department with the procurement of medicines, medical equipment and other related logistic supply at the organization level.
  • Distributes medicines, medical equipment and supplies to the health facilities.
  • Follows up with the projects the appropriate utilization of the medicines at the health facilities.
  • Compiles pharmacy reports received from Health facilities.
  • Conducts supervisory visit to the projects and provides the projects with the supervision reports/feedbacks.
  • Participates as a team member in conducting pharmacy related assessments.
  • If need other Project task assign by line manager.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Relevant field (Logistic and Pharmacy)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Pharmacy
  • Understand and use the Microsoft office & Excel.

Familiarity with English, Pashto and Dari is highly required
